Overview

The Billerica Public Schools English Language Education Program is a school community where all teachers deliver effective instruction in the education of Multilingual Learners, there is strong collaboration between schools and families focused on supporting the academic and non-academic needs of the child, and all ML students are well-prepared for academic, social, and civic engagement in our linguistically and culturally diverse society. 

The mission of our English Language Education Program is to provide students with a program of study that complements our district’s mission, is inclusive, and honors the various languages and cultural representatives found within our student population. It is grounded in federal and Massachusetts laws and guidelines about educating multilingual learners.
