Overview
The History and Social Science program at Billerica Public Schools is dedicated to shaping engaged, well-informed citizens. Our curriculum encourages students to advocate for individual dignity and worth, actively contribute to the betterment of their communities, and understand the global interconnectedness of our world.
From kindergarten through graduation, these program goals are realized developed through use of diverse texts, interactive discussions, hands-on activities, deep investigations, and collaborative research. The coursework spans a rich variety of social science fields, including civics, history, geography, sociology, and psychology. This coursework equips students with the essential skills to gather, analyze, and critically evaluate data so they can take meaningful, informed action in society.
