Welcome to the Billerica Public Schools’ STEM page. The goal of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics instruction is to ensure that all students have authentic learning experiences that connect scientific, technical, and mathematical reasoning to build a strong knowledge foundation. Students use these skills to define inquiry and find solutions that make sense of challenging problems and novel situations.
The STEM department promotes relevant, rigorous, and coherent instruction that emphasizes student mastery of both content and practice standards. K-12 classrooms are committed to engaging students, stimulating curiosity, creating a joy of learning, and developing depth of understanding. STEM initiatives prepare students for citizenship, college, and careers.
